Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Diversity and Inclusion Strategist to join our team at Scotiabank. This role will be responsible for supporting the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in implementing key diversity programs, partnerships and compliance requirements across Global Operations and Technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Manage several key DEI Programs with a focus on advancing equity deserving groups, including the Global Sponsorship Program and BPTN-BFUTR.
  • Policy Design Feedback: Provide feedback on program/policy design to the Director and recommend improvements.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with external partners to support DEI initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal stakeholders to gather and consolidate information for external client-facing requests related to DEI.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Facilitate and complete enterprise-wide DEI regulatory compliance requirements, such as the Employment Equity Narrative Report.
  • Budget Management: Assist the Director with managing the GO&T DEI budget, tracking monthly spend and preparing forecasting reports and invoices for finance.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize HR data to identify trends and themes, recommending effective DEI strategies to meet business needs.
  • Initiative Evaluation: Measure, track and analyze the effectiveness of DEI initiatives, reporting progress and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Culture Champion: Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work culture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in HR or a related field, with a proven track record in DEI.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to implement corporate change strategies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Able to translate evidence-based strategy into actionable plans that drive cultural and behavioral change.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field, preferably with a focus on DEI.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
