About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Construction Coordinator for Civil Works to join its team in Bogotá, Colombia.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of civil works projects, including transportation infrastructure engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in a specialized area, applying extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Make independent decisions on technical problems and methods, and represent the organization at conferences.
  • Resolve significant issues, plan, and coordinate work, using advanced techniques and modifying and extending theories, principles, and practices in the field.
  • Supervise and guide teams, focusing on overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
  • Work in a dynamic environment, receiving instructions in unusual conditions and developments.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education.
  • General professional experience in civil works, with a focus on transportation infrastructure engineering projects.
Preferred Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A professional degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with postgraduate studies in specialization, master's, or doctorate.
  • Experience in directing or coordinating the construction or civil works of transportation infrastructure engineering projects, or the PMO for the construction of civil works for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Availability to work in Latin America.
  • Experience in having directed/coordinated construction contracts for civil works for metro-type projects in underground lines.
