About the Location: Our hotel in Cartagena, Colombia, is nestled in the historic Getsemaní neighborhood, offering an authentic charm and timeless style. The property features 131 accommodations, including 27 suites, four restaurants, and two rooftop pools, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking a unique blend of culture and luxury.

About the Role: As a Cleanliness and Safety Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and biosecurity protocols are maintained throughout the hotel. Your key responsibilities include conducting regular audits, monitoring compliance with local and international regulations, and coordinating with various departments to implement safety and health standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate non-compliance issues related to hygiene, safety, and their consequences to the Leadership Team and General Manager.
  • Conduct weekly hygiene walks with the General Management and other hotel leaders to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings to reinforce needs and priorities related to hygiene, food safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure workers, guests, clients, and visitors comply with biosecurity protocols.
  • Assist in food safety, hygiene, and social security for individuals and communities (healthy and ill) in matters related to food and viral diseases.
  • Conduct investigations and generate responses to food incidents reported by guests, clients, and/or colleagues.
  • Maintain good relationships with clients, guests, colleagues, and health authorities.
  • Lead and keep current the licenses and certification processes related to food safety, management systems, hygiene, and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Technologist in food handling or professional in food engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading the hygiene department in the food and beverage service industry.
  • Knowledge and management of the Microsoft suite.
  • Knowledge of hygiene protocols focused on kitchen and cleaning areas of the A&B department.
