Quality Assurance Team Lead

A key member of our Quality Assurance team, the Quality Assurance Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Reporting to the QA Manager, this individual will work closely with QA Subject Matter Experts, project managers, designers, and developers to guarantee that QA standards and client satisfaction are met throughout the account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor QA team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance and project expectations.
- Promote effective communication, collaboration, and a sense of participation among QA team members.
- Plan, conduct, and maintain the required level of quality expected by the account/client.
- Oversee QA member tasks for assigned projects and escalate issues as needed.
- Attend, lead, and/or organize meetings on behalf of the team.
- Promote QA values and principles within the company and among clients.
- Foster a team-oriented and collaborative environment among all team members.
- Communicate test results and escalate issues and risks following a correct escalation path.
- Oversee test data identification and creation.
- Develop and maintain test plans, testing suites, and test cases/scripts.
- Create QA estimations and oversee traceability matrix documents and checklist documentation.
- Provide support on functional and non-functional testing as needed.
- Develop test design documents to cover requirements.
- Oversee, delegate, and coordinate work to other QA Associates and apprentices as needed.
- Mentor staff members and act as a career developer.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- English Proficiency (B2+/ C1 reading, writing, and conversation).
- Extensive experience in leading QA and cross-functional teams and technical projects.
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies for software development.
- Experience working with local and offshore teams.
- Experience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jira and/or similar.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows or MacOS software.
