About the Role

The Project Specialist will lead and provide consultation to software validation projects in Latin America. This role requires interaction with and influencing of many different departments, including Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Information Technology, and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project/Program Management: Manage key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develop and implement project plans; build team ownership and commitment to project plans.
  • Estimate project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
  • Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
  • Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path items while ensuring project quality and utilizing and following appropriate methodologies (e.g. GSM).
  • Assure project quality by using standard development methodologies.
  • Communicate project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
  • Resolve project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
  • Consult with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge.
  • Conduct project post mortems and communicate lessons learned in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Participate in external project management organizations, conferences and seminars to keep current with industry best practices in project management by joining professional associations and implementing a professional development plan with focus on project management.
Requirements
  • University degree in progress or completed in Engineering (any), Systems or related field.
  • English upper Intermediate (B2) minimum.
  • Experience leading software validation projects.
  • Good organizational skills and being able to follow established processes.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
