Position Overview
As a key member of the Global Non-IT Procurement team, the Strategic Procurement Manager for Professional Services plays a pivotal role in shaping, overseeing, and implementing the sourcing strategy for critical subcategories such as Consulting, Human Resources services, Learning & Development, and Recruitment. The primary objective is to enhance the categories to meet the expectations of all stakeholders, aligning with Central Procurement's commitments to deliver business value, promote digital transformation, and manage vendor and risk considerations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main strategic liaison for internal clients and manage supplier relationships related to procurement activities.
- Collaborate with the Regional Category Manager and Global Category Manager to devise and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for assigned subcategories.
- Implement strategic procurement processes, including market assessments, demand forecasting, formal tendering, offer evaluations, contract negotiations, and contract award proposals.
- Gather and articulate business and client requirements during negotiations and contracting phases.
- Draft contracts in partnership with the legal department and other relevant specialists as necessary.
- Conduct spend analysis to establish both quantitative and qualitative optimization targets within assigned subcategories and product groups.
- Work collaboratively within the Regional Non-IT Procurement team and closely with the Global Non-IT Procurement team to develop sourcing and supplier strategies.
- Deliver high-quality procurement outcomes and reporting as part of the Americas Shared Services Organization.
- Maintain a centralized repository for contracts, including completed contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and addendums for assigned subcategories.
- Actively contribute to the automation and digitization of Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes through the global procurement platform.
- Identify and explore new business areas where Procurement can add value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (preferred).
- Over 5 years of relevant procurement experience or a proven track record in similar roles.
- Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives in an international context and coordinating cross-functional negotiation teams.
- Solid understanding of BPO and Professional Services subcategories, including consulting, temporary labor, recruitment, and HR services.
- Strong project management capabilities with a history of delivering category and sourcing strategies driven by data.
- Proficient in contract terminology and skilled in developing alternative clauses in collaboration with in-house legal teams.
- Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Capable of balancing risk and compliance requirements effectively.
- Technical expertise in supported category strategies with a comprehensive understanding of how regional and global strategies impact local markets.
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
