Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Bogotá. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, monitoring, and posting different types of journal entries, preparing analysis for Financial Forecast & Statistical System (FFSS), and performing period-end closing activities such as accruals, provisions, balance sheet reclassifications, and late adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Journal Entries: Handle, monitor, and post different types of journal entries to ensure accurate and timely execution of key responsibilities.
  • Analysis: Prepare analysis for FFSS to support financial decision-making.
  • General Ledger Accounts: Reconcile general ledger accounts, review accounts, and provide variance explanations by investigating and following up on differences.
  • System Interfaces: Monitor and follow up on differences between system interfaces.
  • Accounting Activities: Support the successful execution of all accounting activities, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good Accounting Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • SAP Experience: Advantageous experience with SAP and Power BI.

Requisite Education and Experience:

  • University Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or business area.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
