Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team in Bogota, Colombia. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for performing general ledger accounting and reporting tasks, including journal entries, accrual calculations, and financial statement preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing operations, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Process financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and expense processing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, implementing updates and improvements to our accounting processes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations to management for process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
