Job Summary

">

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Solutions Architect to join our Technology Internal Controls and Regulatory Management team for Global Technology & Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) at Scotiabank. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing metrics, gathering data, analyzing insights, and providing recommendations to executives, execution teams, board representatives, and external regulators.

About the Role

">

As a Business Intelligence Solutions Architect, you will lead and contribute to key core initiatives involving metric design, data point discovery, collaboration with engineering teams on solutions, and dashboard development. On a daily basis, you will review current dashboards and data to provide insights into potential areas of risk for review and investment.

Your Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.">
  • Analyze data and recommend areas of continued study for risk mitigation that will improve technology stability.">
  • Act as a business process transformation subject matter expert where there is a dependence on data gathering and consolidation from multiple business lines to understand Technology Service Performance and key areas of risk to system stability and resiliency.">
  • Innovate to streamline and automate processes within Resilience Analytics with an eye to data quality dimensions including timeliness, completeness, and consistency.">
  • Guide the engineering team in architecting data solutions involving ETL from data sources and streamlining presentation in dashboards.">
  • Promote processes designed to enhance data quality and work collaboratively with stakeholders to design and implement improvements when gaps are identified.">
  • Interface and manage stakeholders and data contributors across multiple business units and regional reporting processes while providing ongoing support and guidance to global process stakeholders and support teams.">
  • Provide high-quality daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for various risk departments within the bank and lines of businesses.">
  • Framed documents for your audience with a strong ability to write and present to an executive level (VP+).">

Requirements

">

To succeed in this role, you will need:

">

5+ years of experience as a technical analyst or business analyst resource in a data analytics environment providing insights into data.

">

At least 5+ years of progressive hands-on working experience in Business/System Analysis with a demonstrated focus on process design and organizational change management in an enterprise-sized technology environment.

">

A leadership understanding of technical data solutions (interfaces, Data connections, ETL, data visualization such as Power BI). Familiarity with Python.

">

3+ years of working experience in IT Service Management (ITSM); spanning Service Requests, Incidents, Problems, Changes, Releases, and the Configuration Management Databases (CMDB).

">

Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain cooperation from both support teams and senior management.

">

5+ years of experience developing, leading, and coaching teams.

">

Candidates should have completed a post-secondary education; ITIL Foundations certified (versions 3 and/or 4); and versed in business analysis and technical areas of development as it relates to data analytics.

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
