At Stolt-Nielsen, we are seeking a skilled Payroll Accountant to support our finance function in STC Colombia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with country regulations.



Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll calculations.
  • Review and process employee time, attendance, and leave.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll-related tax filings and reports.
  • Collaborate with finance to reconcile payroll accounts and assist with budget preparation.
  • Address payroll inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance of labor laws and payroll regulations; Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries from external auditors.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 2-5 years' general accounting experience, preferably in multinational or industry-specific corporation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Previous payroll experience is required.
  • An experienced user of ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred) and Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English.
