About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Procurement Specialist to join our team at Quorum Business Solutions.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers, managing assigned indirect categories, and overseeing all aspects of the strategic sourcing and procurement process.

This includes identifying potential cost savings, operational efficiencies, contract terms negotiations, and developing and implementing procurement procedures and tools.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of procure-to-pay processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing purchase orders.
  • Assist in the development of procurement strategies and policies.
  • Lead sourcing and procurement efforts for assigned categories efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities through category strategy and interact closely with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Drive process and system improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency, cost, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement activities align with overall company goals.
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential cost savings and process improvements.
  • Work closely with Legal to ensure review of agreements and appropriate supplier contracts are in place.
  • Identify and resolve any supplier issues or discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Purchasing and Procurement Experience.
  • Proficient in utilizing purchasing technologies.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.
  • A comprehensive understanding of purchasing processes.
  • Exceptional planning skills, capable of managing tight deadlines and multiple tasks.
  • Skilled in negotiation techniques and adept at establishing and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized, strategic, and methodical in approach.
  • Attention to detail and adept at managing multiple tasks concurrently.

About You

You will have a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or 7 years' experience in Procurement in lieu of degree.

Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $110,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)
