Job Summary:

The Junior Operating Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and availability of client operating system environments. This involves administering and supporting Microsoft Windows Server OS services, including DHCP, DNS, AD, and CA, as well as monitoring security, backup, and redundancy systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interpret alerts for operating system issues, hardware performance, security vulnerabilities, and other basic systems management tasks.
  2. Manage alerts for Microsoft Windows Server OS services, including DHCP, DNS, AD, and CA.
  3. Respond to events to ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability.
  4. Collaborate with client application teams to resolve operating system, availability, and performance-related issues.
  5. Monitor security, backup, and redundancy systems according to predefined standards.
  6. Work closely with and support the IT Service Desk, Engineering team, and vendors to expedite issue resolution.
  7. Regularly review logs of events based on organization/client requirements.
  8. Properly administer assigned tickets, including documentation, updates, and managing ticket performance.
Requirements:
  1. Experience with the basic administration of Windows servers, including a fundamental understanding of networking infrastructure.
  2. Demonstrated familiarity of Active Directory.
  3. Work experience in Computer Science (nice to have).
  4. 1+ years of work experience in a related field (nice to have).
Technical Competencies:
  1. Basic knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  2. Basic knowledge of Active Directory services.
  3. Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (nice to have).
  4. Knowledge of disaster recovery techniques.
  5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and email security applications.
  6. Understanding of virtualization technologies.
  7. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and basic operations.
  8. Understanding of infrastructure operations management, including backup, antivirus, and patching.

Language Skills:
  1. Proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and writing at 85% or higher), with a minimum of B2 level proficiency in both languages being a requirement.
