Lead Business Analyst

The IT Innovation and Business Development Unit is in search of a Senior Business Analyst to contribute to the AICCRA initiative and represent the Knowledge and Data Sharing team within the project. This role encompasses key responsibilities such as overseeing the AICCRA Data Management Plan, managing the primary Management Information System (MARLO), ensuring effective dissemination of results across information repositories, and assisting staff in planning and reporting activities. The Senior Business Analyst will also provide guidance to the AICCRA Program Management Committee on various reporting processes while advocating for Open Access and FAIR Principles. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary technical team is essential to enhance and maintain the MARLO system in alignment with project requirements.

Moreover, this position necessitates close cooperation with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team and the AICCRA Communications team, both of which report directly to the Program Management Committee (PMC).

Key Responsibilities:

Operationalization of the Data Management Plan:

• Oversee the AICCRA Data Management Plan and manage the main Management Information System (MARLO).
• Engage with users to ensure precise data entry and compliance with reporting schedules.
• Lead the dissemination of deliverables within the information repository (CGSpace).
• Promote and advocate for open access and FAIR principles.
• Manage official repositories for publications and information products, ensuring accurate documentation of deliverables reported in MARLO.

Product Requirements and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Facilitate interviews and interactions with project stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements for MARLO.
• Analyze business requirements to comprehend project objectives and needs.
• Collaborate with the UI Designer to develop mockups, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on the product vision and epics.
• Ensure the development team meets project timelines and feature specifications.
• Work closely with the development team to guarantee user stories are executed in accordance with the product vision and timelines.

Project Coordination:

• Create and maintain a product backlog in JIRA by managing and documenting epics.
• Develop and uphold a clear project roadmap to be shared with stakeholders throughout the year.
• Conduct daily meetings to ensure effective project tracking and coordination.

Project Liaison and Representation:

• Participate in Project Committee and Core Team meetings of AICCRA, representing the Knowledge and Data Sharing unit.
• Prepare supporting materials for various agenda items and lead discussions in meetings.
• Assist the AICCRA team in creating guiding documents, blog posts, presentations, webinars, and other communication materials.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related fields.
• Advanced proficiency in English (oral and written).
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related IT field, focusing on functional aspects rather than software development.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, JPD, Notion, Miro, and other project management and documentation tools.
• Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications, collaborating closely with stakeholders to prioritize needs.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, including the creation of user stories, epics, and mockups.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to engage with project stakeholders and participate in key meetings or workshops.
