Job Description
The Junior Program Director will oversee a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Colombia, focusing on PV + BESS technologies. This role involves driving project execution to optimize outcomes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with contracts and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary representative for the owner, ensuring successful project completion and enhancing company value.
- Serve as the liaison with external stakeholders, including public institutions, local communities, landlords, lenders, and independent engineers.
- Manage and maintain relationships effectively.
- Oversee internal communications within Zelestra to ensure efficient coordination and successful project execution.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with client agreements under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
- Coordinate the signing and execution of major contracts.
- Organize and allocate necessary resources for project execution.
- Form and manage the project team.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), taking necessary actions to ensure projects meet financial, time, quality, and safety objectives.
- Develop and implement a Risk Management Plan.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar academic background.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in project management, business, or executive management roles.
- Verified experience in renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated experience in organizing and leading multiple teams and departments.
- Experience in planning and directing strategic initiatives.
- Experience in business development, EPC construction, and/or project financing.
- Consulting experience focused on operations management.
- Proven success in project coordination roles.
