- AirOps (AOP), previously Airport and Airline Operations (AAO), is the leading industry platform in airline and airport operations, delivering an inclusive and tailored passenger experience, an optimized airport operation, and automated disruption resolution between airlines, airports, border, and air traffic control.

- The Data and Platform department, supported by the assets of the Amadeus Creation Platform, is building simple and powerful data management capabilities and enabling near real‑time data, big data insights, and AI that benefit our customers and all our AirOps teams and products.

- Within this department, the Data Aggregator Middleware (DAM) team develops solutions for our fast data platform, Amadeus Biometric Integrator (ABI) – powering devices in airports – and Amereas Smart Message (ASM), system responsible for delivering baggage messages to the air‑port.

Summary of the Role

- Understand diverse customer requirements and turn them into actionable backlog items.

- Perform functional testing for the product developments.

- Write specifications (technical and functional), create training materials, and develop documentation, ensuring documentation is a part of the development process.

- Guide the team, coaching and onboarding team members to the functionalities of the product.

- Provide support to Implementation teams and work towards the industrialization of the platform.

- Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline.

- Understands how own area contributes to the business and acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience.

- Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.

- Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations.

Specific Accountabilities

- Assess requirements.

- Build, maintain and share the functional knowledge of our processes, services and usage of end‑user products.

- Analyze business requirements submitted by Product Management.

- Consolidate and articulate business needs into new product concepts or upgrades.

- Size specification and validation work.

- Support stakeholders in doing sufficient analysis to ensure requirements are ready to be worked on.

- Carry out functional design.

- Write Feasibility Studies, Solution Overview Documents, Interface Control Documents, Product Specifications and present functional walk‑throughs to all concerned stakeholders.

- Interface with relevant divisions and departments to identify interactions with other Amadeus applications and ensure functional compatibility.

- Contribute to the implementation of the test strategy, and review test plan, to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity.

- Ensure traceability of tests with specifications.

- Ensure production integrity by investigating, validating and prioritizing reported incidents.

- Manage relations with key stakeholders.

- Interface and communicate with Product Management, Project management, Amadeus Customer Services, Implementation, Migration and Development teams.

- Interface with the customer during requirements understanding, functional specification, testing and implementation phases. Contribute to product promotion.

- Support the product features definition (scoping) and contribute to RFP/RFI for the product.

- Share content for product documentation, sales tools and collateral.

- Give presentations, demos and familiarization sessions to customers and customer‑facing teams.

- Participate to the preparation of key events, guaranteeing the success of product launch and follow up. Participate to team events.

- Support team stakeholders by participating to team ceremonies: Agile forums, Team meetings, Solution assessment.
