**Role Purpose**

It is also responsible for the delivery of HR Operations and ensuring consistency and accuracy of the processes, systems and data. This requires a hands on approach and be willing (and flexible enough) to perform effectively both in the transactional and the strategic arenas with very little support.

**Main accountabilities but not limited to the following**
- Line manage the HR admin support role in country, providing guide, empowering and helping prioritise and deliver operational and administrative tasks.
- Coordinate staff onboarding and offboarding processes in liaison and close contact with the resources and resourcing team and hiring managers.
- Oversee production of employment documents and paperwork, ensuring local compliance and alignment with global policies.
- Advice and follow up on visas processing for foreign employees, keeping control of renewal dates and informing staff on a timely manner of actions they must take to complete visa processes.
- Manage and keeping updated internal work regulations (Reglamento Interno del Trabajo) ensuring is properly explained shared and published.
- Manage and safeguard personnel physical in electronic files following data protection policies.
- Support in ensuring that HR policies and practices are aligned with global British Council policies and locally relevant and compliant.
- Maintain and expand working knowledge of current laws and regulations related to Human Resources that directly impact the organization and its compliance requirements
- Ensure all Health and Safety Programme (Programa de Seguridad Industrial y Salud Ocupacional) is compliant and followed at all times.
- Manage the ARL budget and activities as appropriate.
- Lead and follow up proper management of Commitees (COPASST and Convivencia Laboral).
- Building effective relationships through providing reliable and professional HR advice to team leaders and senior leadership.
- Work in collaboration with other HR colleagues and centre of expertise colleagues in project and initiatives as required.
- Provide advice to country and regional leadership on staff survey action plans.
- Represent HR in country Senior Leadership Team leaders and projects.
- Produce HR related reports as and when requested by country and regional leadership.
- Advice line managers and senior leadership on complex employee relations, disciplinary and under performance cases aiming to find suitable solutions and alternatives aligned to our global policies and local legal framework.
- Participate in disciplinary investigations and disciplinary processes ensuring compliance HR policies and local law.
- Continuously improve HR, pay and benefits practices and processes striving to become a more efficient professional services function.
- Approach issues and roadblocks with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Contribute and engage in HR related change projects acting as a propositive and positive change advocate.

**Requirements of the role**
- At least five years of experience as a generalist in Human Resources with proven management of all HR processes.
- Knowledge and experience in Labour relations, Colombian Labour Law and Payroll and statutory employment contributions in Colombia.
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
- Proven experience of stakeholder management at all levels.
- University degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related area.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English at C1 or equivalent level is required.
