**What will you do?**
The Buyer is responsible for
- Supporting development and execution of strategic sourcing plans to improve competitive position to achieve business goals
- Collaboration with business stakeholders and category managers in the establishment and execution of sourcing strategies
- Continuous improvement in the relationship with suppliers

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Analyse, understand and interpret market dynamics and drivers, supplier constrains, quantity leverage, regional regulations and best sourcing practices
- Sources and runs competitive bidding process for designated spend areas in line with the Global / Regional Strategy for a given category or area of spend
- Support negotiations with suppliers and cost model development across their category and lead efforts for their assigned sub-categories/suppliers
- In charge of low to medium complex negotiations in line with category strategy
- Manages day-to-day supplier relationship activities & assigned projects collaborating across multiple functions
- Conducts supply market analysis
- Executes sourcing and product cycle plan projects independently
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of negotiation tools/techniques and applies them regularly when given opportunities
- Manages sophisticated financial analysis, monthly/quarterly reporting, and business cases independently
- Delivers individual annual savings targets.
- Ensures that all relevant contractual documentation is handled as per the defined Contract Management Process

Qualifications

**What we are looking for**
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Biotechnology, Engineering, supply chain management, procurement, or related field
- 4+ years of procurement, operations, or supply chain experience with demonstrated success of managing projects
- Consumer/OTC products experience a plus
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a decentralized organization with minimum supervision
- Experience in quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel/Access (beyond basic data entry)
- Strong analytical thinking with demonstrated results
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present ideas in business-friendly language
- Ability to set priorities and make decisions

**Preferred Skills and Experience**
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and conducting negotiations
- Experience working in SAP, Ariba, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of costs, working capital, and other financial metrics
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs
- Knowledge and use of eProcurement and eSourcing methodology
