**What will you do**
The Buyer is responsible for
- the development of strategic sourcing plans to improve competitive position to achieve business goals
- collaboration with business stakeholders and category managers in the establishment and execution of sourcing strategies
- continuous improvement in the relationship with suppliers

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Works with business and other supportive functions to fully understand business needs and search / develop / select reliable suppliers to deliver on those needs.
- Analyze, understand and interpret market dynamics and drivers, supplier capacity and constrains, quantity leverage, regional regulations and best sourcing practices
- Sources and runs competitive bidding process for designated spend areas inline with the Global / Regional Strategy for a given category or area of spend
- In charge of low to medium complex negotiations in line with category strategy
- Effectively utilizes procurement processes and procedures to achieve procurement functional goals and corporate governance requirements, whilst delivering business needs
- Delivers individual annual savings targets.
- Establishes good working relationship with functional stakeholders.
- Ensures that all relevant contractual documentation is handled as per the defined Contract Management Process
- Identifies non added value processes or administrative work and suggest improvements
- Works with operations, supply chain, quality and other functions to ensure suppliers deliver high performance levels

**Qualifications**:
Responsible for procuring supplies and services within the scope of business policies and procedures at the best negotiated terms for price, quality and delivery to support the business' manufacturing operations. Ensures that local purchasing needs are met by providing leadership and oversight to less experienced staff.
