- Full-time/Exempt**PRIMARY PURPOSE**:
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Talent Management, the Talent Management Training Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of all non-exempt onboarding, new hire integration, training, and professional development programs and initiatives across the association. The primary goal of this position will be to assist in the design and development of classroom, instructor-led, and self-directed learning and development materials. This training for new employees will be used to provide the necessary tools for them to begin at their assigned branch/site from day one and provide continued guidance within their first 90-days of employment, identifying key areas for retention.

**Essential Duties/Functions**:

- Conduct follow-up calls or surveys to track quality improvement for management and new hires to ensure a positive hiring process.
- Assist in completing I-9 verification and new hire paperwork when needed.
- Responsible for the successful onboarding, new hire integration, and training of all YMCA non-exempt employees. This includes the design and delivery of new hire orientation, standard operating procedures, Praesidium, employee handbook, and other relevant training at branches and sites throughout the YMCA of Honolulu.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual trainings as needed.
- Conduct site visits and new staff follow-ups regularly to help identify key areas for improvement to help build retention.
- Monitor the completion of 30/60/90 day new staff evaluation and outcomes.
- Provide feedback for curriculum development, instructional design, learning assessments, E-Learning, and role-based training as needed.
- Report concerns that may provide a health and safety hazard to staff, members, and participants.
- Understand and effectively communicate policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs.

**Working Conditions**:

- General office hours with one weekend a month, some evenings, & holidays.
- Indoor office conditions and some outdoor settings (events & activities).
- Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.

**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of human development, group work process, program and staff development.
- Skilled in general management and communications.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Windows XP, PowerPoint/LCD projector and Google Suite.
- People oriented, well organized and able to multitask.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate and work with diverse populations (race, gender, socioeconomic status, education, age, cultures, languages, etc.)
- Leads, innovates, and communicates with empathy to establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with community organizations.
- Knowledge of program fiscal management.

**Education/Training**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, recreation, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Management required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working within a non-profit organization preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience supervising others.
- Working knowledge of recruitment, interviewing, screening, placement, onboarding, training, and plan development for employees and/or volunteers required.
- Other preferred platform knowledge: HubSpot, Canva, InDesign, HR Symphony, and other programs of platforms used for human resource management, customer relations management, and communication.
- General office operations experience preferred.
- TB Clearance required.
- First Aid and CPR Certified
