**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
The Communications Manager Colombia leads the Communications Strategy for TNC Colombia business unit. They lead the Communications Plans for the Iconic Places and Conservation Strategies, work collaboratively with the Policy, Science, Development, and LAR/Global Marketing and Communications departments, and reports to the Director of Colombia. They design communication structures and helps to facilitate on-going communication between all parts of the globally dispersed marketing division, internal and external stakeholders and identifies communication and media needs and opportunities. They actively identify target audiences and cultivates media contacts on a local and national level making the Program being known (projects, strategies, work) and positioned. They develop and foster relations with key stakeholders and media contacts and manage the dissemination of media information. They provide consultation, media training, coaching and talking points to persons serving as spokesperson(s). Actively follow and promote our Code of Conduct both internally and externally, continuously, and consistently demonstrating alignment with our values.

We’re looking for someone who can design and lead the Strategic Communications Plan for the business unit of Colombia. Someone with innovative skills to communicate the great work our team is doing in the country to a wide variety of audiences, create new partnerships with different actors, and position the BU’s projects, programs, teams and Iconic Places internally and externally.

The Communications Manager Colombia supports the Directors Office and the Conservation Team, and creates and implements the internal and external Communications Strategy for TNC Colombia and its Iconic Places. They lead the conceptualization, production, and dissemination of communication products for conservation projects and conservation strategies and relationship tactics.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE**
- Build a clear outcomes-based communications strategy for TNC Colombia to foster and maintain a strong connection with internal and external audiences.
- Drive the development of all communication plans from concept to execution.
- Work collaboratively across all teams to discover, develop, and amplify compelling stories that speak to diverse audiences.
- Prioritize limited resources for the greatest possible impact on TNC’s Colombia conservation goals and external positioning.
- Provide strategic oversight and develop communications for the BU Directors Office.
- Contribute to develop and foster relationships with internal and external partners.
- Support the execution of communications products by vendors and guarantee that they meet the deadlines, and that the products have TNC Standards.
- Lead content strategies linked to conservation projects and strategies, that may include, but not limited: factsheets, books, booklets, guides, APPs, web articles, social media content, photography products and videos.
- Support implementation of communications/marketing campaigns coming from priority regional/global conservation initiatives.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications and/or Journalism and a minimum of 7 years’ related experience in similar positions or equivalent combination of education and experience, with proven experience in environmental topics.
- Experience developing and leading complex projects or programs including financial responsibility and measuring results of strategic communications plans and programs.
- Experience developing communications, media and engagement strategies and measuring results.
- Experience directing and implementing campaigns.
- Experience as a team leader that creates a positive, professional, and productive environment.
- Competent ESP/ENG skills; executes Spanish-only, English-only or bilingual content and strategies.
- Writing, presentation, and communication skills experience.
