**Job Description**:
Responsible for performing system engineering for information projects typically based on Rockwell Automation IS (Information Solutions) product software applied to customer manufacturing systems that are often integrated with machine automation and control systems as well as ERP software. Works on project assignments that are dependent upon the Job Level (moderate to complex projects). Designs, defines, and implements complex system requirements for customers and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems. Determines system specifications and coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. This includes system design, system engineering, programming, and factory testing. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions.

**Main Activities**:

- Performs conceptual information systems design, determination of system strategy/architecture, design of assembled programming
- Ability to work with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) software on activities related to installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of system installations.
- Develops and documents code, according to the development process, that satisfies the software design
- Develops and executes thorough unit test plans. Reports, analyzes, debugs, and corrects anomalies. Integrates with other components, solving problems across subsystems and products, to produce a final solution.
- Proficient in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Demonstrates working knowledge of relational database management systems, SQL, database administration, operating systems, and the design and configuration of Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk family standards and correlated.
- Demonstrates high level of manufacturing operations business acumen and ability to understand and translate customer requirements and process flows.

**Pre-requisites**:

- Minimum of 3 years work on proven project implementation related to MES systems, Rockwell or not.
- English language communication - oral and written.

**Desirable/differential knowledge**:

- PTC Solutions (Thingworx and Vuforia as main ones)
- Rockwell FactoryTalk Suites and solutions
- Virtualization environments
- Development / Databases (dev languages as C#,.Net, Java, SQL for Oracle, SQL for MS SQL Server, etc)

**Travel activities (field services)**:

- Willing and able to travel and work at customer sites when needed. Travel can vary on assignment but can typically average 30%
