**Senior SMP Engineer**

**The** **Project**

Colombia based project.

Key scope, full project lifecycle including land acquisition, environmental permitting, engineering procurement, construction, commissioning and ramp up.

**The** **Role**

The Senior SMP Engineer is responsible for all process/ on-process structural steel, mechanical equipment and piping design and engineering of the Project facilities. He/She shall provide the engineering supports to fulfill the requirements of pre-qualifications, call for tenders (CFT) & bid evaluations and recommendations to award (RTA).

**The Responsibilities**

The Senior SMP Engineer will be expected to:

- Lead a team of engineers and designers whereas the Senior Engineer will have led on small projects or supported on large teams;
- Generate the 3D Detailed Design, 2D structural steel, mechanical equipment, Isometric Design, Pipe Stressing Requirements and the development of piping documentation including Line list, Schedules, Specifications and preparation of PED Technical Files;
The Preparation of the technical files will include liaison with 3rd Party assessors;
- Lead (or support) in model reviews including clash checking of pipework design;

**The Requirements**
- A degree in mechanical engineering is required;
- Minimum of 15+ years experience in leading (supporting) structal steel, mechanical equipment and piping design including teams of designers;
- Registered Professional Engineer or eligible for registration;
- Experience of layout of mineral processing plants and non process infrastructure from run of mine ore receipt to final product or similar transferable skills;
- Understanding and knowledge of various types of structural steel, mechanical equipment and piping materials is essential;
- Good communication skills are essential.
- International experience;
- Experience in Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning;
- Good tenure, full project lifecycle;
- Knowledge of safety policies, procedures and the important role of consistently demonstrating required behaviors and championing safety values;
- Effective in working with diverse teams and sensitive to local social, political and cultural realities;
- English speaker;
- Results-driven.

**Compensation**

The Company will provide an attractive remuneration package.

Contract residential role, project 3 years, initially Bogota based for EP phase (12 months), then to site (24 months) for construction. Company will provide accommodation, annual leave/travel, annual performance bonus, retention/completion bonus.
