**Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer**

**The Project**
Colombia based project, gold and silver Green-fields project, circa USD$300M, three years EPC schedule, early engineering stage.
Key scope, full project life-cycle including land acquisition, environmental permitting, engineering procurement, construction, commissioning and ramp up.

**The Role**
The Senior EI&C Engineer role is responsible for the development and implementation of automation engineering for the project. Owner’s engineering coordinator and supervisor of instrumentation and process control systems discipline, during the basic engineering, final engineering, procurement and construction activities associated with the Project. Will be part of the Team of Pre-Op testing, Commissioning and Plant Start Up, including training and development of personnel for operations and maintenance of the new facilities with respect to electrical process control and instrumentation equipment
**Contract residential role**, project 3 years, initially Bogota based for EP phase (12 months), then to site (24 months) for construction. Company will provide accommodation, annual leave/travel, annual performance bonus, retention/completion bonus.

**The Responsibilities**
- Lead and approve project instrumentation/process control drawings, project and equipment technical specifications, and equipment purchasing evaluations/recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with the project budget and schedule as it pertains to the Instrumentation and Control Lead primary areas of responsibility.
- Provide prompt response and sound engineering recommendations to resolve potential trends. The prime objective is to maintain project schedule while at the same time maintaining scope and budget control.
- Utilize the knowledge to supervise and coordinate the contractor’s construction effort to see that the design is installed correctly.
- Performs needed system requirements analysis with respect to instrumentation and control engineering.
- Reviews contractor instrumentation and control drawings and specifications.
- Reviews instrumentation and control purchase orders prior to purchase for the project.
- Coordinate instrumentation and control equipment field installation, testing and plant start up.
- Asses in operations and maintenance training.

**The Requirements**
- Formal qualification: Process Control and Instrumentation, University Engineering degree / Master
- Minimum 15+ years’ experience.
- Experience in major projects in mining industry.
- International experience
- Experience in Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning
- Good tenure, full project life-cycle
- Knowledge of safety policies, procedures and the important role of consistently demonstrating required behaviors and championing safety values.
- Effective in working with diverse teams and sensitive to local social, political and cultural realities
- English speaker
- Results-driven
