Position Overview:
We are in search of a Quality Engineer Lead (Test Automation Engineer) to lead our QA team, ensure quality standards, and uphold both client and company expectations. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate objectives to team members and provide guidance and support as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Manual and Automated QA Testers
- Take charge of team-building initiatives as the Hiring Lead for the QA department
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for Stellar Elements
- Analyze project requirements and identify testable areas
- Create test scenarios, cases, and scripts. Collect and document testing data. Identify and document defects
- Manage and archive test cases and scripts upon project completion. Ensure traceability between requirements and tests. Ensure easy access to all testing outcomes
- Enforce adherence to testing standards, guidelines, and methodologies outlined in the testing approach
- Review testing outcomes with Test Lead to confirm alignment with entry and exit criteria
- Conduct manual testing when necessary
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in testing Web and mobile platforms
- Over a year of experience leading teams of 3+ individuals
- 3+ years of manual QA experience
- 3+ years of Automated testing experience
- Advanced proficiency in Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies
- Proficiency with tools like Cypress, Appium, Sauce Labs, Rest Assured, or Selenium
- Proficiency in qTest Lead and TestRail for test case management
- Experience with issue tracking tools like Jira
- Proficiency in Git for version control
- Ability to test APIs using Postman or similar tools
- Experience with design and mock reference tools such as Zeplin, InVision, and Figma
- Experience collaborating closely with internal and external teams
