The Financial Planning and Analysis Intermediate Analyst occupies an intermediate position responsible for offering management an analysis and insight into Citi's financial outcomes in collaboration with the broader Finance team. The main goal is to apply critical thinking, data analysis knowledge, and methodologies to generate and examine reports that assess Citi's alignment with projected performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the annual planning and periodic forecasting procedures, reviewing results against plans monthly, including the annual budget planning and monthly estimation process
- Execute Forecasting scenarios for LATAM countries at Legal Entity level
- Perform various ad hoc analyses and strategically tackle issues that complement the regulatory Planning and Analysis processes at the country level
- Support in preparing Legal Entity Forecasting and Performance Management for Latam Countries
- Handle time-sensitive tasks for client-facing Financial Planning and Analysis teams
- Aid in developing material for reviews with internal senior leadership and external regulators
- Capable of working with minimal direct supervision
- Demonstrate independence of judgment and autonomy
- Act as Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
- Assess risks appropriately when making business decisions, with a focus on the firm's reputation and compliance with laws and regulations
- Coordinate, consolidate and review MRM (Model Risk Management) requirements within the team
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
- Preference for experience in financial services
- Familiarity with financial, analytical, and reporting tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with preferred skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate level proficiency in English
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent experience
