Responsibilities


This role provides you with an opportunity to partake and contribute to the quality of a feature or product from their inception, not just when code is handed over to QA.

This is an integral role on the Product team, collaborating with development, product, and support teams through the whole SDLC.


As a team member you have responsibility to:

  • Develop the team's testing mindset and approach.
  • Participating in reviews.
  • Creating test plans and executing test cases.
  • Managing the lifecycle of bugs.
  • Estimating and managing one's own workload.
  • Managing risk whilst constantly balancing quality with release commitments.
Automation experience is not a requirement, but it can be a plus. As the team grows there maybe opportunity in the future to upskill in this area also.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as a manual Tester
  • Creating and executing test cases, logging Bugs, and verifying user cases.
  • Clear and effective communication both verbally and written.
  • The ability to really dig into issues & tease apart complex bugs/concepts so that the necessary next steps are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps principles and "Shift Left" Test approaches.
  • Creative mindset is proactive & uses their own initiative to constantly drive the release forward.
