Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and updated financial records using accounting software and manual processes as required.
    • Record all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expenses, and revenue.
    • Ensure all financial documents are well-organized and easily accessible for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare timely and precise financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Support in creating annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders to aid decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Stay informed about Colombian tax regulations and guarantee compliance with all tax requirements.
    • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax returns.
    • Support in tax planning and optimization strategies.
  • Audit Support:
    • Assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
    • Implement audit recommendations and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Carry out financial analysis to recognize trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control and revenue growth.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Vendor and Customer Relations:
    • Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring accurate and prompt payment processing.
    • Handle financial inquiries from customers and suppliers.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
    • Ensure compliance with Colombian accounting standards (Colombian GAAP) and other pertinent financial regulations.
    • Monitor changes in financial regulations and make necessary adjustments.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as an accountant in Colombia, with a solid grasp of local accounting principles and tax regulations.
    • Proficiency in Netsuite and MS Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is advantageous.
