Your role at Baxter

This is where you oversee all aspects of supply planning for a specific set of key products within Baxter Canada's supply chain. Your responsibility is to implement a strategy that enhances customer service, optimizes working capital, and improves overall supply chain costs in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will also be accountable for financial metrics related to inventory and supporting continuous improvement initiatives when needed.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure customer service target of 97%+ is maintained at optimized inventory levels by managing supply procurement, purchase orders, and tracking through receipt.
  • Provide analysis to identify opportunities for enhanced supply utilization, standardization, and process enhancement; assess findings and propose recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Demand Planning to streamline all supply processes for Baxter Canada's Global Business Unit and other vital product families.
  • Communicate portfolio supply requirements to appropriate domestic and international manufacturing sites to mitigate and address supply constraints and expenses effectively.
  • Provide leadership and oversee communication with all international supply points/plants to ensure optimized supply plans and finished goods replenishment schedules.
  • Develop and implement short and medium-term purchasing plans including PO creation.

Metric and Financial Management

  • Report weekly and monthly inventory metrics alongside strategic and actionable recommendations to enhance customer service and inventory performance.
  • Work on the annual budget for the portfolio in conjunction with the Manager, Supply Chain Planning and other relevant partners; offer monthly updates and reports.
  • Collaboratively create and manage a portfolio metrics dashboard.
  • Maintain portfolio working capital (inventory investment) within established targets.

Process Management & Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Offer monthly S&OP assistance.
  • Lead the back-order management process and design optimization strategies concerning inventory and deployment (where applicable).
  • Support the Financial inventory quarterly budgeting process and introduce initiatives to enhance inventory performance.
  • Responsible for recognizing, reporting, and addressing inventory write-off and excess inventory risks.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee standard operating procedures and compliance with Baxter's established practices and protocols.

What you'll bring

  • Background in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field.
  • Experience in Data Management, operations, Supply Chain, business Intelligence (Cognos/BI publisher), and EDI Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply and/or deployment planning.
