Arup has been working in Colombia since 2007 and we established a presence in Bogotá in early 2014. The Colombian office is part of the Americas South Geography along with offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas.


We are the creative force at the heart of many of the world's most prominent projects in the built environment, including the Sydney Opera House, the London Eye, and the Beijing National Stadium (aka the Bird's Nest).

Projects in the Americas include Fulton Street Transit Center in NYC, USA, California High-Speed Rail, USA, the Las Vegas Observation Wheel, USA, and currently in Colombia, the Atrio Towers, Barranquilla public spaces Master Plan, Medellin AV 80 Light Rail Systems, Prefeasibility of Public Transport Systems, Fleet buses electrification in 3 Colombian cities, Bogota Metro Land Value Capture Study and 14 Lender Technical Advisor role for 4G highway projects.


About the position:

We are currently seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist to join our growing Marketing team in Arup's South Geography.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is inspired by the built environment and wants to grow in a fast-paced environment that values innovation, creativity, sustainable development, and digital skills.

This is a strategic role with responsibility for proposal direction and content; communication of Arup's values in the creation, organization, and maintenance of marketing collateral; and contribution to a variety of marketing activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in capture planning strategy sessions and assist with client and marketfocused research activities.
  • Participate in go/nogo discussions to help the leadership team make wellinformed and strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to develop clientfocused winning strategies for proposals and statements of qualifications to successfully capture work.
  • Lead the preparation of competitive proposals, qualification packages and, interview presentations.
  • Collaborate with design teams on preinterview planning and presentation rehearsal and assist in developing and implementing the established win strategy, themes, and differentiators in presentation materials.
  • Oversight of marketing collateral, such as presentations, brochures, project sheets, and resumes.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, consistency of graphic standards to ensure a cohesive and recognizable brand identity.
  • Maintain CRM and Share Point databases.
  • Ensure that AEC marketing best practices are being followed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must have strong communication and writing skills in English and Spanish.
  • 710 years of experience in the A/E/C industry.
  • Experience with largescale prime proposals.
  • Involvement with local A/E/C organizations a plus.
  • Must have bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Marketing or Engineering.
  • Must be confident, selfmotivated, independent, and proactive.
  • Need to have energetic, positive attitude, with proven ability to juggle/respond to multiple deadlines under pressure.
