Position SummaryOur client, a boutique business valuation firm headquartered in Houston, Texas, is expanding internationally and establishing a new Valuation Center of Excellence in Mexico City. As part of this expansion, they are hiring a Senior Bi-Lingual Financial Analyst to join the founding team of the Mexico City office.In this role, you will support U.S.-based Certified Valuation Analysts by preparing engagement files, consolidating and analyzing financial statements, reviewing client documentation, conducting industry and economic research, and entering data into a proprietary valuation model.This is a structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven role that requires strong analytical judgment, accuracy, organization, and consistent communication in English. The position is full-time and based on-site in Mexico City, with a hybrid working model, competitive compensation, generous paid time off, and occasional opportunities for U.S. travel for training or collaboration.This role is ideal for an experienced finance or accounting professional who wants meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to senior decision-makers, and the opportunity to help build and shape a new office within a rapidly growing national firm.The Opportunity and Why It MattersThis is not a back-office role.As a Senior Financial Analyst, your work will directly support high-impact valuation engagements for privately held businesses across a wide range of industries in the United States. You will collaborate closely with certified appraisers and senior financial professionals, and your analyses will contribute directly to defensible, client-facing valuation conclusions.Because our client is a boutique firm, senior analysts are not siloed or buried under layers of management. Your work is visible, your judgment matters, and strong performance is rewarded with increased responsibility and leadership opportunities. As the Mexico City office grows, this role offers the potential to mentor junior team members and help shape workflows, standards, and best practices.Prior valuation experience is not required. Our client provides a defined path toward certification and invests in professional training and development for high-performing team members.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and maintain valuation engagement files; upload, organize, and manage client documentationReview client intake forms for accuracy and completeness; identify and escalate inconsistenciesEnter financial and operational data into the proprietary valuation model, following workflow rules and documentation standardsConsolidate and link financial statements; apply formatting standards and document unusual or nonrecurring findingsIdentify discretionary, nonrecurring, or unclear items and draft questions for client and owner interviewsConduct industry and economic research, including verification of NAICS and SIC codesAssist with owner interview preparation; attend interviews when appropriate and update workpapers accordinglyPerform consolidated balance sheet reviews, flagging non-operating, personal, or unusual itemsCollect, analyze, and summarize national, regional, and local economic data (employment, population, income, real estate trends)Support the preparation of valuation reports and summaries for client deliveryMaintain organized documentation, communicate proactively with U.S.-based teams, and uphold high standards of accuracy, integrity, and professionalismContribute to process improvement initiatives, documentation standards, and workflow efficiency as the Mexico City office growsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution2+ years of experience in financial statement analysis, audit support, accounting, tax, banking, corporate finance, FP&A, or similar analytical rolesStrong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsAbility to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and unusual trends in financial dataAdvanced Excel skills, including linking sheets, reorganizing data, and tracing formulasHigh English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing)Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to clearly summarize findingsComfort working in structured, process-driven environments and collaborating with cross-border teamsStrong commitment to confidentiality, data integrity, and meeting deadlinesNice to Have / Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with valuation concepts such as Seller’s Discretionary Earnings (SDE), EBITDA, and nonrecurring adjustmentsExperience supporting U.S.-based clients or working in professional servicesPrior experience in audit, accounting, or tax environmentsInterest in pursuing long-term growth in the valuation professionWork Location and StructureOn-site role in Mexico City, Monday–FridayHybrid working modelCollaboration with U.S.-based valuation professionalsOccasional opportunities for U.S. travel for training or collaborationWhat We OfferFounding role within the client’s Mexico City Valuation Center of ExcellenceDirect mentorship from experienced U.S.-based certified valuation professionalsExposure to diverse industries and sophisticated valuation engagements10 Mexican national holidays observed plus 15 days of paid time offCompetitive compensationClear opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and certification as the center expands
