Maximize the outcome of the Agile teams to give best value to the customers. Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, create actionable user stories for the development team, participate in daily scrum meetings, answer developers’ questions as the customer/user representative, accept the finished user stories to make sure the work meets the criteria, participate in iteration retrospectives. Work in a context of an Agile team (Scrum or Kanban), applying the best agile practices in term of product backlog management (writing a good features and user stories, setting good acceptance criteria, vertical slicing, priorization and refinement of the backlog, accepting the user stories, managing demos). In case the Agile team is part of a scaled agile organization (SAFe), it is expected to attend and participate actively to the ceremonies at ART level (PI planning, PO Sync, ART Sync, System Demo...) and work closely to the ART PM to ensure the team backlog and the program backlog alignment.
What you will be doing:
Understand, identify and define customer needs
* Transform the high-level vision of the Product Manager into detailed requirements, working closely with a range of stakeholders for the product, including non-customer stakeholders such as finance, security, operations, support, audit, and others.
* Consolidate and articulate business needs into new product concepts or upgrades, and interact with Product Managers to develop user stories or features affecting the team backlog
Contribute to the product vision and roadmap
* Define and continuously develop the product vision & the business value in line with the business owners, product managers, SAFe ART Product Management, other Product Owners & agile teams
Support the product features definition (scoping)
* With the support of the Agile team, lead the definition and prioritization of the Features or user stories, based on customer needs and value, to deliver based on market and business needs
* Consider and prioritize amongst all Features the enabler work and sequence the architectural runway in collaboration with Architects/Engineering
* Collaborate with other teams across the group to ensure coherent prioritization, product alignment, marketing and user experience across various ARTs/Products/Groups. This includes (but is not limited to) Business Owners, SAFe ART Product Management, other POs, PMKs, UX, other groups, SAFe RTEs and Architects
Manage, prioritize and communicate the flow of work
* Ensure the features and user stories backlogs are reprioritized before each release and sprint planning session
* Constantly align and communicate with respective agile counterparts and leadership team
* Do sufficient analysis to ensure requirements are ready to be worked on
* Document, analyze, trace, prioritize and agree on requirements and then control change and communicate to relevant stakeholders
* Work closely with delivery teams to ensure they build the right functionality in a timely manner
* Is involved with ongoing testing efforts
Participate to Agile events
* Accept stories prior Sprint review
* Actively participate to team coordination meetings, PO synchronization meetings, draft plan reviews and management meeting
* Actively participate to System demos and Inspect & Adapt workshops if in SAFe
* Actively contribute to the Community of Practice of Product Owners
* Organize demos
Contribute to product promotion
* Provide key information & communicate value on the product, to define the Value proposition
* Define a succession of strategies as a product goes through its product life cycle
* Contribute to the pilot plan with Product Marketing and other associated teams & BUs
* Share content for product documentation, sales tools and collateral
* Create standard and tailor-made presentations, and demo scripts showing product value
* Give presentations, demos and familiarization sessions to customers and customer-facing teams (for them to perform them). Once the product has been piloted, standard presentations should be performed by customer-facing teams
* Participate to the preparation of key events, guaranteeing the success of product launch and follow up
* Contribute to RFP/RFI for the product
The ideal candidate:
·3+ years of experience in Product Ownership.
·Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline.
·Knowledge of the travel/airline industry including IATA Offer/Order/Retail transformation vision
·Specific knowledge of Navitaire business and how it is related to own area.
·Agile Mindset
·Very good level of written and oral English
·University Degree(s) in Business field
