As the Accountant in our global payment company, your mission is to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting while providing vital support for various administrative functions. You will play a critical role in managing the accounting function and providing timely and accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering precise financial information will ensure the integrity and reliability of our financial records, enabling informed decision-making and driving the success of our organization on a global scale. Your Mission

We are looking for a seasoned Accountant to join our fast-growing team. Reporting to our Controller Latam, you will be supporting the team on enhancing each financial processes in Nuvei.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage all aspects of the accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

· Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Mexican GAAP and regulatory standards.

· Lead the audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion and compliance with audit requirements.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and strategic decision-making.

· Analyze financial data and provide insights to drive business performance and profitability.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in accounting and finance.

· Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting functions, including payroll, taxes, and financial reporting.

· Provide support in administrative tasks and assist with day-to-day operations.

· Handle the accounting for our subsidiary in the USA, ensuring compliance with local regulations and reporting requirements.

· Collaborate with the corporate team in LATAM to ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial data.

· Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the FinTech or payments industry.

· Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

· Experience with US GAAP and familiarity with accounting standards in the USA.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (, ContaFiscal, QuickBooks).

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

· Proven track record of leading accounting teams and managing accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.

· Effective communication skills in English and Spanish.
