Overview

We are looking for an IT Systems Junior to join our internal operations team and help keep our technology infrastructure running smoothly and securely. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn, takes ownership of their work, and wants to grow in a fast-paced, globally connected environment. You will support the team across hardware, software, networks, and internal systems, working alongside senior staff and getting exposure to enterprise-level tools from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day IT operations.
Provide first-line technical support to internal staff, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently. Manage and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with end users. Maintain an updated inventory of all equipment, licenses, and assets.

Set up and maintain workstations and equipment.
Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals for new and existing employees. Ensure all devices are set up with the required software, security policies, and access permissions before each start date. Support onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.

Manage user accounts and access.
Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts across internal platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, and other SaaS tools. Ensure proper access controls are in place and follow security and compliance protocols at all times.

Support network and connectivity needs.
Assist with monitoring and maintaining the office network, including Wi-Fi, switches, and VPN configurations. Escalate complex network issues to senior IT staff while keeping clear documentation of incidents and resolutions.

Maintain systems and run updates.
Ensure all devices and software stay current with the latest patches and security updates. Support the implementation of IT policies, data classification standards, and security best practices across the organization.

Collaborate and grow.
Work closely with the HR and Operations teams to support new-hire setups and office logistics. Document processes, create internal guides, and contribute to a cleaner, more organized IT environment. Participate in team meetings and continuously look for ways to improve internal systems and workflows.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal —required

  • Based in Bogotá, Colombia, and able to work on-site in Chico Norte

  • 2-4 years of experience in Java development with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming (OOP)

  • Proficiency in Spring and Spring Boot, including RESTful API development and dependency injection

  • Experience with Maven or Gradle for project configuration and dependency management

  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and scaling applications

  • Understanding of automated CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

  • Ability to work with relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases

  • Comfortable mentoring junior team members and translating technical needs into clear, actionable tasks

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi)

  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems

  • Experience or familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, service-oriented attitude

  • Comfortable with software tools and quick to learn new technology
