Job Title

Ready to lead innovation in travel technology? Join us as an Engineering Manager at our expanding Bogotá development hub, where you'll help shape Airport Management and Airline Disruption Solutions. In this position, you will manage a diverse team of Software and QA Engineers and Product Definition Analysts and contribute to projects aimed at improving travel technology.
 

In this role:

• Identify solutions and make decisions on complex issues within guidelines, consulting or escalating to management when required.
• Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and team development; support efficiency through policy and business plan implementation.
• Develop mid- and long-term strategies aligned with departmental goals.
• Provide leadership by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and coordinating plans with overall strategy.
• Maintain alignment between department vision and organizational objectives; ensure effective resource management and budget compliance.
• Report outcomes, uphold performance standards, and suggest improvements for continuous growth.
• Address production support and customer inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve system testability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Communicate relevant, timely organizational information to team members.

About the ideal candidate:

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
• At least 5 years' experience in technical or engineering management capacity
• Proven leadership, people management, strong communication and analytical skills with ability to address technical challenges and drive team success 
• Experience managing projects, teams, and budgets
• Innovative, collaborative mindset and builder mentality with a commitment to advancing technology, sustainability, inclusivity, and well-being
• English proficiency required
• ​Programming languages: Java, C++, Angular, TypeScript. Technologies: JBoss, Spring, Maven, Apache ActiveMQ, Camel, and Kafka.
• Tools: Git, Bitbucket, Copilot, VS Code, IntelliJ or Eclipse.
• Database: Oracle and SQL language.
• Cloud: Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Practices: SAFe, CI/CD, DevOps, FinOps, Automated Testing (e.g., Robot Framework)
