Job Description
This role will be part of the Global Services Finance team in the Cluster/Country Finance Manager process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance—in a J&J way—to our Operating Companies around the world.

The Country / Cluster Finance Manager teams are the GS business "controllers", who own the entity Bravo reporting, focusing on business understanding and completeness accuracy and validity of the trial balance. This includes but is not limited to completing P&L reviews, approving BVAs, supporting strategic initiatives and orchestrating balance sheet reviews after close.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain Operational Excellence

  • Timely closing & execution coordination of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
  • Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
  • Driving deep expertise, ensuring team are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
  • Support corporate auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
  • Understand, adhere, and execute per worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate / prevent breach.
  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings.
  • Prepare the process of preview analysis of actual P&L to enhance accuracy and ensure allocations and accruals for an acumen P&L statement
  • Prepare review of BS Reconciliations with the FD to ensure figures for MRC are accurate providing commentaries to support CoE and BUF analysis
  • Prepare actual non-operational income and expenses, assessing risks and opportunities, communicating management impacts vs forecast properly

Qualifications
Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other financial certifications is preferred.

Required

  • At least 6-8 years of professional experience is required.
  • At least 2-4 years of Management / Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO.
  • Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company.
  • Experience in financial controllership would be preferred.
  • Senior stakeholder management, executive communication and influence skills.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines.
  • Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge.
  • Digital/ intelligent automation capabilities.

Other

  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office in particular Excel.
  • Lead/Participate in other Regional/Global/Cross functional duties as assigned.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Upper intermediate to Fluent English.
