The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant for our client's central accounting team. This is not a typical corporate role. You will report to the Global Controller and act as the key accounting "owner" for several of their portfolio software companies.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves building systems from scratch, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will manage the entire accounting function for these companies, from the month-end close to assisting with FP&A and finance operations. This is a high-impact, high-growth role with a direct path to learning from seasoned operators.

What You'll Do

  • Own the close: Manage the entire month-end close process for several companies.
  • Run core accounting: Record bank transactions, reconcile accounts, maintain the general ledger, and prepare journal entries.
  • Perform reconciliations: Assist with monthly general ledger and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Build and improve: Help develop and implement new accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
  • Support key functions: Assist with annual audits, manage corporate credit card programs, and research technical accounting issues.
  • Be a team player: Step in to help with any ad-hoc accounting projects as needed.

What You'll Bring

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and prior experience with US-based companies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Xero is required.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a full-cycle month-end close.
  • Advanced English (B2/C1), both written and verbal.
