Looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Video Editor to support a growing digital brand in the fashion, business, and creator education space. This role focuses primarily on editing content, including YouTube long-form videos and short-form content for platforms like YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.

This is a remote, contract-based position with consistent weekly work and the opportunity for long-term collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Long-Form Editing

  • Edit 1–2 long-form YouTube videos per week
  • Clean cuts, pacing, and flow
  • Add light text overlays, b-roll (when needed), and basic sound balancing
  • Follow established brand style and structure

Short-Form Editing

  • Create 5–10 short-form videos per long-form video
  • Identify strong hooks, impactful moments, and key talking points
  • Add captions, emphasis text, and platform-appropriate formatting
  • Optimize for short-form platforms while staying true to the brand voice

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience editing YouTube long-form content
  • Strong understanding of short-form vertical video (Shorts, Reels, TikTok)
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
  • Able to follow creative direction while also making smart editing decisions
  • Reliable, communicative, and consistent with deadlines
  • Comfortable working remotely with a U.S.-based creator

Technical Requirements

  • Experience with editing software such as:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Final Cut Pro
  • DaVinci Resolve
  • (CapCut experience is a plus for short-form editing)
  • Ability to export content in required formats for YouTube and social platforms
  • Stable internet connection for file delivery and communication

Work Schedule & Commitment

  • Ongoing weekly work
  • Flexible hours (as long as deadlines are met)
  • Estimated workload:
  • 1–2 long-form videos weekly
  • 5–10 short-form edits per long-form video

Compensation

  • Competitive weekly or per-project pay
  • Payment discussed based on experience and quality
  • Paid consistently and on time
