Overview
Mastercard's Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) is dedicated to helping the organization transform their business operations to achieve higher efficiency, effectiveness, and agility. Today, with over 1,200 dedicated colleagues worldwide, the GBSC supports more than 200 services across 89 countries spanning all business units. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration drives us to continuously elevate standards and exceed expectations in every endeavor. By leveraging a comprehensive suite of services and solutions, the Strategy, Enablement and Transformation Team is one of the key foundational pillars that supports overall GBSC and enterprise stakeholders in optimizing their business to drive value and enhance performance.

As we continue to strengthen our global footprint, we are seeking a Director, GBSC Site Lead for Bogotá, Colombia to lead site operations and represent the GBSC locally. This leader will serve as the strategic and operational anchor for the Bogotá location, ensuring alignment with the GBSC's global priorities and Mastercard's broader business objectives. The Site Lead will play a pivotal role in fostering a strong culture, enabling business continuity, and creating an environment that supports high performance, collaboration, and professional growth.

This individual will partner closely with global GBSC leadership, functional leaders, and regional stakeholders to drive operational excellence, employee engagement, and site-level strategy execution.

  • Lead the GBSC Bogotá site, overseeing its overall management, culture, and success
  • Translate GBSC's global strategy into site-level priorities that align with Mastercard's enterprise objectives
  • Act as the primary connection between global GBSC leadership and local teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals, performance, and change initiatives
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture that reflects Mastercard's values of collaboration, innovation, and belonging
  • Drive engagement, learning, and development programs to strengthen employee experience, retention, and growth
  • Partner with HR and leadership teams on workforce planning, onboarding, and talent management to meet evolving business needs
  • Monitor site performance and employee experience through key operational and cultural metrics
  • Serve as the escalation point for operational risks, compliance issues, and facilities matters, maintaining adherence to global standards
  • Represent the GBSC Bogotá site with internal and external stakeholders, including Mastercard's regional leadership and strategic partners
  • Promote collaboration across business units and support the integration of new services or functions into the GBSC model
  • Act as a visible ambassador of Mastercard and the GBSC within the Bogotá community, fostering pride and engagement across the site

Skills

  • Proven experience leading large-scale operations or shared services centers in a multinational environment
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, influence, and engage teams across levels and functions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to represent the organization effectively with senior leadership and external partners
  • Strong understanding of operational governance, compliance, and business continuity management
