At SoftwareOne, we are looking for an Account Manager Government (Hunter) to lead the identification, development, and closing of new business opportunities within the public sector. This role is responsible for positioning SoftwareOne's technology and cloud services particularly Microsoft Azure and other key portfolio offerings while strengthening relationships with government entities and ensuring the achievement of commercial objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities in the government sector, focusing on the acquisition of new clients and strategic projects.
- Gain a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of public sector organizations, translating them into solutions aligned with SoftwareOne's portfolio.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and demand generation to deal closing and post-sales follow-up.
Job Requirements
What You Bring
- Experience managing public sector or government accounts, preferably in commercial, business development, or consultative sales roles.
- Knowledge of technology solutions, cloud services, and software licensing, with a focus on platforms such as Microsoft Azure and other ecosystems relevant to the government sector.
- Proven experience in identifying and acquiring new opportunities within the public sector, managing the full sales cycle, and achieving established commercial targets.
Desirable
- Ability to operate in complex organizational environments and public procurement processes, including experience with platforms such as SECOP or other government purchasing systems.
- Certifications or knowledge in Microsoft, AWS, or other technology providers, considered an asset but not mandatory.
- Previous experience managing government accounts, participating in tender processes, or leading digital transformation projects within the public sector.

- Ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with government entities, effectively managing multiple commercial processes.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset, with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills in institutional environments.
- Consultative, strategic, and ethical approach, with the ability to identify opportunities in the public sector and translate them into differentiated value propositions aligned with client needs.
