Team Overview:

Proactive Accounting Manager with strong technical and communication skills, you will be in charge of local day-to-day accounting activities, ensure compliance with different local Authorities and attend audit process. You will also help to follow up on audit or internal findings, find root causes and provide recommendations on areas for improvement in business processes and internal controls to prevent/minimize future control risks.

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation, verification and posting of monthly and annual closing journal entries for legal entities in some LATAM countries, mainly in Colombia.
• Responsible for verification of accuracy and completeness of financial statements and trial balance reports.
• Responsible for daily finance/accounting activities to local teams pursuant to local accounting policies and corporate processes/regulations.
• To assist with the business development in local and makes sure the accounting/finance policies are undertaken properly.
• Prepariton Balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
• Supporting of new launches/products in LATAM, mainly in Colombia.
• Ensure the compliance of LATAM entities local requirements, mainly in Colombia. Attend local audits.
• Support the prepartion of annual financial statements
• To have continuous communication with Mexico and China accounting teams. Scope Latin America - some legal entities in different countries, mainly in Colombia.

Role Qualifications:

• Accounting Bachelor degree.
• CPA accountant (right to sign local Financial Statements).
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding/experience with Local and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge and experience with local reports/requirements to report to local Authorities (Superintendencia de Sociedades, etc.).
• Fluent English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong analytical skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and with other areas/countries partners.
• Software: Oracle, Office.
