We have supported solar and wind initiatives across multiple regions of the country, building strong on-the-ground understanding of technical, environmental, social and market realities in Colombia.

The role

We are looking for a highly senior leader to run a multi-year Agrivoltaics (Agri‑PV) program in Colombia—solutions that integrate solar PV + agricultural production on the same land. The role leads execution across a portfolio of projects (community and commercial pilots), from planning and engineering to supervising installation through subcontractors, commissioning, and operational handover.

Note: Colibri focuses on consulting, design and engineering. Installation is delivered through third parties under Colibri's technical supervision.

Key responsibilities

  • Program leadership: master plan, schedules, milestones, risk management, progress control, and stakeholder coordination across multiple sites
  • Lead engineering deliverables: system sizing, layouts, electrical design, and technical specifications aligned with Colombian standards.
  • Procurement & subcontractor oversight: scopes of work, technical selection support, site supervision, QA/QC, testing, commissioning, punch lists, and as‑built documentation.
  • Permitting and E&S compliance support: coordination for permits, environmental & social safeguards, and field safety practices.
  • Training & handover: operator training for O&M, manuals, and formal acceptance/handover.
  • Applied learning & scalability: ensure pilots generate practical, usable lessons (without slowing delivery) and convert them into replicable standards.

Mandatory requirements

  • Fluent professional English (written & spoken; daily working language).
  • Master's degree (Engineering, Energy, Project Management or related).
  • Proven solar PV delivery experience in Colombia (real delivery: permitting/grid interface/contractors/commissioning).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with clear progression into leadership roles (senior PM, owner's engineer, delivery lead, EPC management).
  • Strong track record managing contractors, quality, commissioning, and structured documentation.

Preferred

  • Agrivoltaics / Agri‑PV exposure (even partial).
  • Familiarity with agricultural/rural operations (microclimate, irrigation, crop–shade interaction).
  • Experience in compliance-heavy environments (structured reporting, audits, public funding, etc.).
