As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced
General Manager
(GM) to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our company in Colombia. The GM will play a critical role in ensuring that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently while leading a dedicated team of concierge professionals.
Position Overview:
The
General Manager
will be the second-in-command to the CEO and will have full responsibility for the operations of Two Travel in Colombia. This role is integral to the continued success and growth of the business. The GM will manage a variety of departments, including the Concierge Team, Operations, and Logistics, and will be instrumental in making sure the company's objectives align with the vision set by the CEO. The GM will work to ensure that all teams are collaborating effectively, that operational processes are continuously improving, and that the customer experience remains top-tier. This is a highly strategic leadership position requiring a combination of operational expertise, team management, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee and manage the Concierge Services Business line in Colombia
- Continuously assess and improve operational workflows, systems, and processes to increase efficiency and enhance the quality of service.
- Ensure Two Travel continues to grown and gain marketshare through quality of service.
- Work with leadership team to outline high level strategies and keep all team members accountable
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Concierge team, ensuring that staff are motivated, engaged, and aligned with the company's mission and objectives.
- Work closely with team members to set individual and team goals, offering coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, ensuring excellent communication and teamwork across all departments.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members as needed to support the company's growth.
Strategic Planning & Growth:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop long-term strategies for the growth and expansion of Two Travel, particularly in Colombia.
- Implement business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand services, improve offerings, and attract new clients.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to drive innovation and stay ahead of market demands.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure the highest level of service is provided to all clients, maintaining the company's reputation for luxury and personalized attention.
- Address and resolve any client issues, ensuring that feedback is collected and used for continuous improvement.
- Regularly evaluate the client journey, from booking to trip completion, to identify areas of improvement and innovation.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Regularly report to the CEO on the status of operations, team performance, and strategic goals.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure company objectives are met, including marketing, finance, and customer support.
- Ensure clear and transparent communication between the Colombia team and the leadership team to keep all parties aligned on goals and priorities.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a senior leadership or operational role, ideally in the travel, hospitality, or concierge industries. Experience managing a team and overseeing a multi-faceted operation is a must.
- Proven track record of operational excellence, with an emphasis on team management, customer service, and business development.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to adapt and pivot in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Deep knowledge of the Colombian travel and tourism market is a plus.
