Summary

We are looking for a Lead QA Automation with a strong technical background in automation and quality engineering, combined with proven leadership and people development experience. In this role, you will lead QA initiatives, drive automation strategies, and foster a culture of quality across cross-functional and multicultural teams. You will act as a strategic partner for engineering and product teams, ensuring high standards in test architecture, execution, and delivery. As a leader, you will be responsible for coaching team members, supporting their growth, and aligning quality efforts with business goals.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Professional Experience

• 8+ years of experience in QA Automation or Quality Engineering.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role, leading QA teams or initiatives.

Leadership & Management Skills

• Experience managing or mentoring QA engineers and fostering growth through coaching and performance feedback.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with distributed and multicultural teams across different time zones.
• Proven ability to align QA strategy with business objectives and project roadmaps.
• Conflict resolution and decision-making skills that promote collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Deep experience with test planning, test case design, test execution, and reporting.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java).
• Hands-on experience using automation testing tools for functional, security, and UI testing.
• Experience with performance testing and interpreting results to guide improvement.
• Strong understanding of database systems (e.g., SQL) and API testing (e.g., REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Nice to Have skills

• Experience with mobile testing (iOS, Android).
• Exposure to data testing or validation of ETL pipelines.
• Experience with quality metrics, reporting dashboards, or QA KPIs.
