Master Data Analyst, GBS Systems Support

Overview:

What is the role?

The Master Data Analyst role is a critical role that will be focused on the day to day back-office service of the accounting and financial functional teams located in the Bogota Operations Centre.

Works closely and will partner with all levels of the business to deliver high quality data management across all our markets.

Responsibilities:

What you'll do

Master Data Management:

• Oversee the lifecycle of master data (e.g., customers, products, suppliers) and ensure its accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Operations, etc.) to understand data requirements and align master data management practices.
• Design and implement master data governance policies and processes.
• Review and cleanse data to ensure it meets high-quality standards.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential improvements in data quality.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards on master data quality and trends.
• Identify root causes of data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work with business analysts, data stewards, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure proper implementation of data standards.
• Collaborate with IT to define system requirements and ensure smooth data integration between systems.
• Provide support and training for staff on data quality practices and systems.

Data Governance & Compliance:

• Enforce data governance and compliance policies, ensuring that master data adheres to internal and external standards.
• Conduct periodic audits of master data and collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies.

Data Migration & System Implementation:

• Assist with data migration projects and the integration of new systems, ensuring that master data is accurately transferred and maintained.
• Support the implementation of master data management software/tools.

Qualifications:

Knowledge & Experience:

Preferred education/ qualifications:

Bachelor's level, Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting degree.

Knowledge & Experience:

Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management processes.

At least two years of previous experience in SAP, Master Data management tools and Audit activities.

Computers skills. Microsoft office & SAP S4 Hana and Master Data Governance (desirable)

English: Intermediate level. Other language knowledge is desirable
