About the Role

We are looking for a
Billing Specialist
to join our Accounting Department. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and sending invoices, researching disputed invoices, and supporting our Accounts Payable and Billing team. This position requires someone detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily and monthly proformas and invoices.
  • Edit and finalize proformas, including transferring time, expenses, write-offs, and researching multiple locations.
  • Research payments and provide payment histories as needed.
  • Handle billing for national vendors with specific requirements, including processing proformas, write-offs, and preparing appeals.
  • Upload electronic invoices into vendor systems (e.g., Allegient, CAT TRAX).
  • Troubleshoot and provide backup documentation for invoices as needed.
  • Provide billing information to senior managers and personnel as required.
  • Assist with posting time and paid-by-company expenses during month-end closing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 2–3 years of accounting or billing experience preferred.
  • Experience with Elite Accounting Software is a plus.
  • Strong customer service attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting, bookkeeping, and financial concepts.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Work performed in an office setting; ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, crouch, hear, and talk.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Clear vision and depth perception required.
  • Occasional overtime may be needed to meet business demands.
