The Role: Sales Executive (Remote)

We're hiring a Account Executive to own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing new customers. This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable setting meetings, running demos, handling objections, and closing SMB deals.

You'll work directly with the founder and leadership team to refine messaging, improve close rates, and help shape our sales motion as we scale.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, wants real ownership, and thrives in a startup environment.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads via email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Book and run live demos with accounting firm owners and decision-makers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through close
  • Confidently handle objections and guide prospects toward a decision
  • Accurately track activity, pipeline, and deals in our CRM
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine scripts, messaging, and sales cadence
  • Share customer insights and feedback to improve positioning and product direction

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience (SaaS experience is a plus, but not required)
  • Comfortable prospecting and closing deals—not just booking meetings
  • Confident running demos and asking for the business
  • Strong communicator, clear, professional, and personable on calls and Zoom
  • Organized, consistent, and accountable with CRM usage
  • Self-motivated and able to succeed in a remote, startup environment
  • Experience selling to SMBs or professional services firms is a bonus

Compensation & Growth

  • Hourly base pay + commission on closed deals
  • 20hrs a week (approx 4 hrs a day) with potential to grow into full time position
  • Commission incentives for annual contracts
  • Clear performance metrics and opportunity to increase earnings quickly
  • Growth path into a senior sales or sales leadership role as Acounta scales
