Summary of the role:

We're looking for forward-thinkers with a strong background in Network Engineering to implement, manage, and maintain the network infrastructure within the Amadeus enterprise ecosystem. This includes both private and public cloud environments, internal teams as well as customer-facing solutions.  The team focuses on service quality, efficiency, and cost optimization, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and global standards.
 

In this role you'll:

• Design, build, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), load balancers, and WAN connectivity (VPN, MetroE, ExpressRoute).
• Administer and automate deployment and lifecycle management of network and security components using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Golang.
• Manage Azure networking features, including VNets, ExpressRoute, and Network Security Groups, and deploy Akamai DNS zones and delivery properties.
• Implement, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network and security incidents, providing 24/7 escalation support as part of a team rotation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and team efficiency.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
   

About the ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in network security, firewall administration, SRE, or DevOps.
• Expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama, VM-Series) for cloud/on-premises, cloud networking (Azure, GCP, AWS), and automation/programming tools.
• Proven experience in network/security engineering and support in 24/7/365 environments.
• Proficiency with enterprise routers, switches (Cisco ASR, Nexus), firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower), load balancers (F5 LTM, Citrix ADC, A10), and remote access technologies (SSL, IPSec VPN, RDG).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP), features (SVI, vPC, VDC, STP variants, LACP, EtherChannel), and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Azure Networking (NSGs, VNets, ExpressRoute), Akamai CDN, automation/version control tools (Ansible, GitHub, Bitbucket), and network monitoring/troubleshooting software.
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps practices and GitOps tools.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, adapt to change, and take responsibility. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English required.
