We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented
Business Development Manager
to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, expanding our market presence, and building strategic partnerships in the Colombian and potentially broader Latin American market.
As a Business Development Manager, you will identify new business opportunities, nurture client relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve ambitious sales targets. Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, partnerships, and growth areas in Colombia.
- Prospect, qualify, and generate leads through outbound calls, networking, events, and digital channels (e.g., LinkedIn, industry conferences).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to implementation.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and present reports on pipeline, performance, and forecasts to senior management.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities in Bogotá and beyond.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in [industry/sector, e.g., technology, fintech, services – customize as needed].
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing deals.
- Strong understanding of the Colombian market, with experience in Bogotá highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Spanish and English (additional languages a plus).
- Proficient in CRM tools
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a target-driven environment.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach.
