Job Description

The Manager will assist in producing holistic support to enhance and optimize of the Corporate Risks Programs within the Andean Region, and serve responsibilities for Visa Colombia Support Services S.A. (VCSS), as follows:

  • Serve as trusted risk business partner, collaborating with business units on product roadmap, pipeline of strategic initiatives to identity risk assessments needed.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management program to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, as well  Internal Controls established by regulatory authorities within Andean Region, especially in Colombia.
  • Manage the second line of defense (LOD) oversight of corporate risk management programs across Andean Region, and other markets as needed.
  • Oversee Risk and Control Self-Assessment and provide constructive challenge to uplift control design and effectiveness to reduce risk exposure.
  • Build-out metrics to ensure an on-going measurement of goals and desirable outcomes from the different stakeholders. 
  • Build-out a repository for information used to respond to regulatory inquiries or consultations.
  • Find opportunities to automate regulatory reports applicable to the region or optimize self-service tools to ensure high quality and timely reports.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain reporting and analytic solutions to streamline the regulatory reporting processes in Andean Region, and other markets as needed.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory frameworks to address proactively regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Partner with business and functional teams to maintain compliance with requirements to secure/renew Visa's local operating licenses.
  • Assist with development of communications, presentations, and training materials.
  • Maintain documentation on regulatory requests supported and responses provided.
  • Provide regular and ongoing reporting, metrics and information related to regulatory and supervisory management.
  • Support other Corporate Risk initiatives within Andean Region, as aligned with the LAC RRG Senior Director.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulation on Risk Management matters.
  • Ensure that regulatory requests are addressed in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Work with internal risk stakeholders, leverage and adapt Visa´s Enterprise Risk Management policies, guidelines, and procedures to optimize integrated risk management for VCSS.
  • Lead the enhancement and oversight of the key elements of the operational risk management, encompassing related risk limits and appetite, key controls indicators, risk and control self-assessments, controls testing framework and issues and events management.
  • Create and execute governance model for the Integrated Risk Management System.
  • Design, execute and keep track of trainings regarding risk management.
  • Keep procedures and manuals for operational risk management updated and in alignment with Visa's corporate policies.
  • Design internal and external reports to comply with local regulation requirements regarding risk management.
  • Support the execution of the Operational Risk Management program for VCSS, according to local regulation, including but not limited to:
  • Monitor entity's risk profile and effectiveness of controls.
  • Develop methodologies for reporting operational risk events.
  • Monitor the procedures and action plans related to operational risk management and propose their corresponding updates and modifications.
  • Collaborate with other functions across the region to ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged and aware of program oversight.
  • Use management information, metrics, and analysis to inform business decision making and to measure progress against goals and desirable outcomes.
  • Lead the delivery of training and tools to the business to promote/enable self-assessment, measurement, reporting and management of operational risks, issues, and events.
  • Establish and produce management reporting related to risk management and controls monitoring.
  • Contribute to supervisory engagement and provide responses on corporate risk related matters through effective engagement with the Regulatory, and Risk Governance team.
  • Provide support to LAC RRG team in identifying key topics to elevate to the Risk Committees.
  • In addition to the primary responsibility, the person in this role may be called on to support the team on other Corporate Risk, and regulatory work streams as needed.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)

5+ years of relevant experience in one of the following functions: Corporate/Risk Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Regulatory Management, Legal or related areas

Experience with regulator management (direct or indirect)

Understanding of current and emerging payment system regulation in Colombia, and other Latin-American Markets

Experience preparing/reviewing/delivering executive level communications

Previous experience in coordinating multi-functional teams to execute in market risk functions, programs and initiatives

Experience in developing, transforming and delivering data strategies or emerging platform features to enable analytics and reporting capabilities, as well machine learning, and warehousing management.

AI first-mindset

Experience in payments/banking or related segments, or alternately, good understanding of payments business and associated risks

Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.

Proven proficiency with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word and Outlook.
