Job Overview

We are seeking a Spanish Bilingual Deposition Summary Specialist to join our legal support team, providing high-quality deposition summaries for prestigious U.S. law firms specializing in personal injury, civil litigation, and related practice areas. This role demands excellent comprehension, writing, and analytical skills in both English and Spanish. You will play a key role in transforming complex deposition transcripts into clear, concise, and accurate summaries that help attorneys prepare for trial and settlement.

This position offers flexibility in scheduling, including the option for remote work and customized shifts to accommodate various time zones and workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze deposition transcripts in both English and Spanish, ensuring a clear understanding of the testimony, context, and relevance to each case.
• Prepare detailed and accurate deposition summaries that capture key facts, issues, and witness statements, emphasizing information critical to case development and trial preparation.
• Identify and highlight inconsistencies, admissions, or significant details within the transcripts that may influence case strategy or settlement decisions.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and secure digital records of all deposition summaries and supporting case files, following established firm protocols.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff to confirm factual details, clarify complex testimony, and ensure summaries meet the firm's standards for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all work adheres to confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and data protection requirements while maintaining high levels of quality and professionalism in documentation.

Qualifications

• Prior experience preparing deposition summaries or working in a legal support role for U.S. law firms is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of personal injury law, civil litigation, or insurance defense is an advantage.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (C1 certification or equivalent professional experience).
• Excellent analytical, writing, and summarization skills in both languages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF editing tools, and case management systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality written work.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently under deadlines.
